SYNOPSIS
On vacation with his family in Sinai, nine-year-old Roi covets a bottle of colored sand and demands that his father buy it for him from the local Bedouin. His father offers that he will make a bottle of colored sand for the child instead, and Roi must make his father keep his promise.
DIRECTOR'S BIO
Omri Levy (b. 1970) directed the acclaimed television series The Secrets of Kinneret (1998), which won first Prize at the San Francisco International Film Festival and the Prix Jeunesse Festival in Munich. His debut feature film Miss Entebbe, which was co-produced with JSFS, premiered at the 2003 Berlin International Film Festival, receiving a special mention. He has served as the academic director of Jerusalem’s Maaleh Film School since 2007.
