Since her mother’s death, Lisa has taken on the role of a mother to her three brothers in her patriarchal Georgian family. At night, the only time she has to herself, she writes. When she wins a prestigious scholarship in far-off Jerusalem, she faces the heart-wrenching dilemma: to pursue her writing, or commit to her domestic role.
Zelda Hoha-Welner (b. 1974) worked as a script supervisor for numerous television series and feature films. She is currently working on her first feature film, The Speculant, which won the Haifa International Film Festival's Pitch Point 2017.
