SYNOPSIS

It’s Friday night, the Sabbath eve. Rachel sneaks out of her religious parents’ house to go to a party with her secular friends. Her desire for self-exploration is abruptly interrupted by a car accident, forcing her to face her actions - in front of her parents, her community and God.

DIRECTOR'S BIO

Mihal Brezis (b. 1977) and Oded Binnun (b. 1975) are prolific Israeli filmmakers in the realm of shorts. They were nominated for an Academy Award for the short film Aya (2012), which was screened commercially in Israeli theaters. In 2017 they directed their international feature debut The Etruscan Smile, produced by Academy Award-winning producer Arthur Cohn and starring Emmy Award-winning actor Brian Cox. The duo is currently in pre-production for their second feature, Aya, based on their successful short.
